Albendazole (200mg)

How to Use
Administer Albex Suspension as directed by your doctor. It is recommended to give the medicine with a fat-containing food like milk to improve absorption. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the same dose. The treatment duration depends on the type of worm infection and may be prescribed as a single dose or over several days or weeks. Follow the exact prescribed duration to avoid re-infection.

Uses/Benefits
Albex Suspension is used to treat parasitic infections in children. It effectively kills and stops the growth of worms causing the infection. While the medicine works quickly to relieve symptoms, it’s important to complete the full course to ensure that all parasites are eradicated and do not develop resistance.

Side Effects
Albex Suspension is generally safe and well-tolerated by children. However, some common side effects may occur, including sore throat, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, hair fall, and mild fever. In rare cases, it may cause bleeding, which requires immediate medical attention. If side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor.

  • Liver: Caution is advised when administering Albex Suspension to children with liver disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary, and monitoring of liver function tests (LFT) and complete blood count (CBC) is recommended during treatment.
