Description
Abi-CV-Kid Tablet DT is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in children, targeting areas such as the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is especially effective against bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics, including treatment for drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB).
Salt Composition
Amoxycillin (200mg) + Clavulanic Acid (28.5mg)
How to Use
- Administer the tablet as prescribed by your child’s doctor. Dissolve the tablet in water before giving it to your child.
- It is recommended to give this medicine with food to enhance absorption and minimize stomach discomfort.
- The doctor may advise giving the tablet two to three times daily, depending on the type and severity of infection, as well as your child’s weight and age.
- If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, calm your child and repeat the dose. Avoid giving a double dose if it’s close to the time for the next one.

- Treatment of Resistant Tuberculosis (TB): Abi-CV-Kid Tablet DT is effective in treating multi-drug-resistant (MDR) TB by inhibiting an enzyme called beta-lactamase, which certain bacteria produce to resist antibiotics. Clavulanic acid in this medicine neutralizes the enzyme, allowing amoxicillin to act on the bacteria and combat the infection effectively.

Restrictions
- Share your child’s full medical history with the doctor, especially any history of allergies, heart conditions, blood disorders, birth defects, airway issues, lung conditions, gastrointestinal problems, skin disorders, or liver and kidney issues. This information will help the doctor adjust the dose and treatment plan accordingly.
