  • Linagliptin ā€“ 2.5 mg

How to Use:

Take Ondero Met 2.5mg/1000mg Tablet as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It should be taken with food to minimize the risk of stomach upset. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.

Take it regularly at the same time each day to get the most benefit. Follow the prescribed dose and duration. Do not stop taking the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Restrictions:

  • Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, or pancreatic issues.
  • If you drink large amounts of alcohol, you should also discuss this with your doctor as it may affect how the medicine works.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using Ondero Met.
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) may occur if you are taking other diabetes medicines like insulin or sulfonylurea, so itā€™s important to recognize the symptoms of low blood sugar (e.g., dizziness, sweating, fainting) and know how to treat them.

Side Effects:

Most side effects of Ondero Met are mild and may subside as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if any of the following persist or become bothersome, consult your doctor:

  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level)
  • Tremors
  • Dizziness

In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, so contact your doctor if you experience severe symptoms or allergic reactions.

How Ondero Met Tablet Works:

Ondero Met 2.5mg/1000mg Tablet combines two antidiabetic agents:

  • Metformin (1000 mg) is a biguanide that works by reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver and improving the body’s response to insulin.
  • Linagliptin (2.5 mg) is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases the levels of insulin after meals and decreases the amount of glucose produced by the liver, which helps lower blood glucose levels.

Together, these medicines help improve overall glycemic control, reducing both fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels.
