How It Works:
RFX 400 Tablet contains Rifaximin as its active ingredient. Rifaximin is an antibiotic that works by:
- Killing ammonia-producing bacteria in the intestines that contribute to the buildup of toxins, particularly ammonia, in the blood.
- Relieving symptoms of hepatic encephalopathy (such as confusion, agitation, and muscle tremors).
- Reducing the recurrence of episodes of hepatic encephalopathy.
Dosage and Administration:
- Take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor, and follow the prescribed dose and duration.
- Take the tablet at the same time each day to help remember.
- Take with or without food, but it is better to be consistent about whether you take it with food or on an empty stomach.
