Description
Akurit-3 Tablet is a combination medication used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It helps to prevent the growth of bacteria that cause the infection.

Rifampicin (150mg) + Isoniazid (75mg) + Ethambutol (275mg)
How to Use
Take Akurit-3 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. It should be taken on an empty stomach. Avoid consuming it with foods rich in tyramine, such as cheese, smoked fish, meats, and certain beers.

Side Effects
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, rash, fever, dark-colored urine, sweating, increased saliva, and watery eyes. Other possible side effects are elevated liver enzymes, jaundice, visual impairments, increased uric acid levels, gout, peripheral neuropathy (tingling or numbness in hands and feet), and increased sputum production. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Restrictions
- Alcohol: Avoid alcohol as it may cause a disulfiram-like reaction with symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, chest pain, and low blood pressure.
- Pregnancy: Akurit-3 Tablet may be unsafe during pregnancy. Consult your doctor to weigh the risks and benefits before use.
- Breastfeeding: Generally considered safe during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest the medication does not pass into breast milk in significant amounts and does not harm the baby.
- Driving: May cause side effects such as vision problems and tingling in hands or feet, affecting your ability to drive. Do not drive until you are certain how the medication affects you.
- Kidney: Use with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustments may be required. Kidney function tests are recommended before starting the medication.
- Liver: Use with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustments may be necessary, and regular monitoring of liver function is advised.
