Description

Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic commonly prescribed for children to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective in treating infections in the ears, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract, as well as typhoid fever.

Salt Composition
Cefpodoxime Proxetil (50mg)

How to Use
Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup should be given to your child as prescribed by the doctor. It is recommended to administer the syrup one hour before or two hours after meals. If your child experiences a stomach upset, you can give the syrup with food. Make sure to follow the prescribed dosage based on the type of infection, its severity, and your child’s weight. If your child spits out the medicine within 30 minutes, repeat the dose but do not double it if it’s time for the next dose. Do not give the medicine for cold or flu symptoms unless a secondary bacterial infection has been diagnosed.

Uses/Benefits
Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in children, including those affecting the brain, lungs, ear, abdomen, urinary tract, bones, joints, skin, blood, and heart. This medicine works by eliminating infection-causing bacteria. It is important to continue the full course of treatment even if your child starts feeling better, as stopping early can lead to the infection returning and possibly becoming harder to treat.

Side Effects
Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup is generally well tolerated, but some children may experience mild side effects, such as abdominal pain, rash, nausea, and diarrhea. These side effects typically subside as your child’s body adjusts to the medicine. If the side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your child’s doctor.

Restrictions

  • Kidney: Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup is considered safe for use in children with kidney disease, though dose modifications may be necessary for those with severe kidney issues.
  • Liver: Caution is advised when using Adpoxime 50mg Dry Syrup in children with liver disease. Dose adjustments may be required. Please consult your doctor before use.
